Elise Gug Fall/Winter 2010
The ELISE GUG fall/winter collection for 2010/11 boasts an “urban” feeling, as Elise’s main source of inspiration this season is Italian metropolis Milan.
The air surrounding the collection is classic yet it possesses a chic and modern look, ideal for afternoon or evening arrangements such as attending exhibition pre-views, having drinks in the hotel lobby or dining out in a restaurant. The daytime-looks are casual and sporty, perfectly suited for an active workday with various commitments. Nevertheless, the emphasis is on the lush qualities of the fabrics and the craftsmanship, as well as the general comfort of the wearer.
The collection palette is, among other colors, comprised of graphite, brown and grey mélange, a touch of dusty blue and petrol. The black and beige jacquard material is inspired by the gleam of light from the house windows on a dark Milan night. A great deal of the materials used are light and reversible.
The fabrics of the collection, which all have beautiful and unique qualities, have been manufactured in Italy. Additionally, the collection showcases stretch qualities, techno textiles, wools, silks and plenty of cozy Cashmere knitwear. The detailing on the pieces feature washed grosgrain ribbons attached or used as piping visible zippers with fringe rims and Alcantara fabric. The shoes, like the clothing, furs, and knitwear, are handmade in Italy.
