About us
The online store at www.elisegug.com is operated by Design 1986 ApS, trading as ELISE GUG. Our company details appear above.
Orders
You place an order by adding products to your shopping bag and completing checkout. You can review and change your order before submitting it. After placing an order, you will receive an email confirming that we have received it. This acknowledgement is not an acceptance of the order. A binding purchase agreement is formed when we send you a shipping confirmation.
All orders are subject to availability. If we cannot fulfil an order, we will contact you and refund any amount already charged. We may temporarily suspend access to the online store for maintenance, updates or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in the currency selected on the website and include VAT where applicable. Shipping charges and the total price are shown before you complete checkout.
Available payment methods are displayed at checkout. Payment is charged when your order is shipped, unless a different timing is clearly stated for the payment method you select. Payment information is handled securely by our payment providers; ELISE GUG does not receive your full card details.
Product information
We aim to describe and display every product accurately. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen. Measurements are approximate, and handmade or limited-production items may have minor variations that are part of their individual character.
Promotion codes
Promotion codes are personal unless otherwise stated, have no cash value and cannot normally be combined with other codes or offers. Any expiry date and special conditions will be stated when the code is issued. If no expiry date is stated, the code is valid for six months from the date of issue.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Danish law. Mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence remain unaffected.
Lifetime Warranty – NILO, NAIR and DARFO
ELISE GUG provides a commercial lifetime warranty on garments made in our NILO, NAIR and DARFO fabrics. The warranty is provided by Design 1986 ApS, trading as ELISE GUG.
The warranty covers defects in the fabric, sewing or production that arise during the life of the garment under normal use and correct care. There is no fixed time limit: the warranty applies for as long as the garment exists and can reasonably be identified as an ELISE GUG garment made in NILO, NAIR or DARFO.
If a covered defect occurs, we will normally first repair the garment free of charge. If a satisfactory repair is not reasonably possible, we will replace it. If the original model, fabric or colour is no longer available, we may replace it with a comparable current ELISE GUG garment of equivalent value.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, external force or incorrect care, including scrapes, holes, cuts, tears, burns, animal damage, incorrect ironing, or damage caused by dropping, dragging or pulling the garment. Where possible, we may still offer a functional repair in such cases, but this falls outside the warranty.
To make a warranty claim, contact info@elisegug.com and include photographs and, if available, your order or purchase information. The garment must be clean before it is sent to us. We can often identify the original model, fabric and colour even if labels or proof of purchase are no longer available.
Warranty claims are assessed individually. For claims made under this voluntary lifetime warranty, the customer is responsible for shipping costs unless otherwise agreed.
This commercial warranty is in addition to your statutory consumer rights and does not limit or replace your legal right to complain about faulty goods.
2 Shipping and Returns
Delivery
We deliver to the countries available at checkout. The delivery estimate shown on the product page or at checkout applies to your order. A product-specific estimate for a pre-order, made-to-order item or item awaiting delivery takes precedence over our standard delivery time. Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise.
You will receive tracking information when available. We are responsible for the parcel until it has been delivered to you or to a person designated by you.
VAT and customs
For deliveries within the European Union, prices include the VAT applicable to the sale. For deliveries outside the EU, Danish or EU VAT may be removed where applicable. The recipient is responsible for any import duties, taxes and carrier administration fees charged in the destination country. Customs clearance may delay delivery.
Your 14 day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer shopping online, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase without giving a reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a person designated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods. Sale items have the same statutory right of withdrawal as full-price items.
To exercise this right, send a clear written statement before the deadline to info@elisegug.com. Please include your name and order number. You may also use the statutory EU model withdrawal form, but this is not required.
After notifying us, return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after your notice. Send returns to:

Return shipping
Full-price items can be returned free of charge using the return label supplied with your order. If the label is missing, contact info@elisegug.com before returning the parcel.
For sale items, you pay the return shipping cost. On request, we can provide a return label for DKK 50 within Denmark or EUR 15 for international returns; the cost will be deducted from your refund. These charges apply only when you use our label.
Pack the goods securely and keep your receipt and tracking number. You are responsible for the return parcel until we receive it.
Condition of returned goods
You may handle and try on an item as you would in a physical store. Please return it unused, unwashed and, where possible, with all original garment tags attached. You are liable only for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and fit of the item.
Refunds
If you withdraw from the purchase, we will refund the amount paid for the returned goods and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. We do not refund additional delivery costs resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery method.
We will make the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your withdrawal notice. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or you provide evidence that they have been returned, whichever occurs first. Refunds are made to the original payment method unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Exchanges
If you would like another size or style, please contact us. The simplest solution may be to return the original item and place a new order. Exchanges are subject to availability.
Faulty goods and complaints
Consumers have a two-year legal right to complain about faults that were present, or whose cause was present, when the item was delivered. This right does not cover damage caused by misuse, incorrect washing or care, accidents, alterations or normal wear.
Contact info@elisegug.com or +45 20 93 33 84 before returning a faulty item. Include your order number, a description of the issue and, if possible, photographs. If the complaint is justified, we will provide an appropriate remedy under applicable law and reimburse reasonable return costs.
Consumer complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter. If we cannot agree, a complaint may be submitted through the Danish public consumer complaints system at www.naevneneshus.dk, subject to its applicable conditions. Consumers residing in another EU country may also obtain assistance from the European Consumer Centre in their country.
3 Privacy Policy
Who is responsible for your data
Design 1986 ApS, trading as ELISE GUG, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Our contact details appear at the beginning of this document.
Data we collect
· Contact and account information, such as your name, billing and delivery address, email address and telephone number.
· Order and transaction information, such as products purchased, order history, returns and payment status. We do not receive your full card details.
· Communications with us, including customer service enquiries and complaints.
· Technical and usage information, such as IP address, device and browser information, website activity and cookie identifiers, depending on your cookie choices.
· Marketing preferences and newsletter interactions where applicable.

Who receives your data
We share personal data only when necessary with service providers that help us operate our business, including our e-commerce platform, hosting and IT providers, payment providers, delivery companies, customer-service systems, accountants and professional advisers. Providers may use the information only for the agreed purposes or as otherwise permitted by law.
Transfers outside the EEA
Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we use a lawful transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with supplementary safeguards where appropriate.
How long we keep data
We retain personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described above. Order and accounting records are generally kept for the period required by Danish bookkeeping and tax law. Customer-service and complaint records are kept for as long as necessary to handle the matter and establish or defend legal claims. Marketing data is kept until you withdraw your consent or object, subject to any period needed to document compliance. Cookie retention periods are shown in our cookie settings.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out.
